I think we often over looked the great power our minds and attitude can wield in our lives. As a writer, I used to worry that I wasn't cut out for fiction writing, because of low sales or a bad review. It never ceases to amaze me how fear is a paralytic. We see something we want, but we're so afraid of not being able to achieve it, that we don't try and by so doing, guarantee that we won't. It took me a couple years to really grow past that mindset (more or less). Now it's more about enjoying the craft than meeting a quota, hoping that in the future, things will pan out the way I hope.
