This week, a sentence by Vince Lombardi caught my eye. "Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence."
This quote resonated with me because I tend to be very idealistic when I go about setting goals and anticipating results. Which usually means I aim a little too far above 'realistic' and into the realms of 'very not likely'. This quote helps me to remember the real results of setting high goals, even ones you can't attain. As long as it's pushing you beyond what you could do initially, it's worth it. That's where the real changes kick in, the ones that bring success. You just have to keep plugging away at those goals, until things finally kick in to high gear.
